5.3 octave DeMorrow marimba custom made in 1989. Fully tunable resonators in bottom 2 octaves. Polished brass resonators, concert Honduran rosewood bars. Fixed height 35” from floor to the top of the naturals. Instrument is built with 3 individual frames making it possible to move through doors without removing bars or rails. No tools required for assembly. Easily converts to a 4 octave. The 4 octave section of the marimba is 34” wide on the low end. The upper end of the frame is 20” wide. The instrument was fully serviced and retuned by Doug DeMorrow in 2014. Bottom 3 notes (B, Bb, A) new as of 2014. Only minor scratches on frame. Some oxidation on brass resonators. No dings or dents on resonators. Doug priced making this instrument new today would be between 26-35k.
