2 octave Galanti Vibraphonette circa 1950's made in Italy. Instrument is an acoustic, portable suitcase vibraphone. Legs/pedal store in top of lid, uniform 1 3/8" bars tuned to A=442, single speed motor. Carry strap, packs like suitcase. This instrument came in 2 octaves F-F and 2.5 octaves C-F. The 2.5 octave version has a cone shape spindle that the drive belt floats on to change speed via a lever.
We've redesigned this instrument with thicker bars 1 1/4" x 1/2" -modeled after the Deagan W-30 and No. 147 bars - with a 2.6 octave A#3-F6 range for A# comping inversions. It has a potentiometer variable speed motor unlike the original Galanti. Available in two finishes: classic Baltic Birch wood finish and vintage grigio blue.
